Eligibility and Registration

  1. Teams are formed on a class basis. All officially registered 2022-cohort freshmen in good health may register.
  2. 2022-cohort sports-specialized class students may register and compete; placements and prizes will be awarded based on results (scores will not count toward the Ma Yuehan Cup (马约翰杯) team total). However, "sports specialist" must be noted after their name when registering, e.g., *** (Sports Specialist).
  3. Individual events: Each event is limited to 1 male and 1 female entry per class; each person may enter only 1 individual event but may also enter relay, tug of war, and 3-minute group long rope.
  4. Team events: Relay and 3-minute group long rope (1 team per class); tug of war (champion class only).
  5. If a class has too few female (or male) students to fill the required events, registration adjustments may be made as follows: Departmental sports coordinators should fill out Appendix 1 "2022 XX Department XX Class Roster" and Appendix 2 "2022 Freshman Sports Meet Registration Record Form," have them stamped by the department, and submit them to the Air Dome front desk (to be forwarded to Teacher Jiang) no later than noon on September 28 (Wednesday) for student identity verification. Departments may apply for adjustments only under the following conditions:
    1. If a class has fewer female students than event entries, one person may enter multiple events. Example: A department with 6 female students and 10 events — all 6 females each enter 1 event to fill 6 slots, and the remaining 4 events may be filled by 1 or more females entering additional events.
    2. If a class has fewer male students than event entries, one person may enter multiple events. Example: Humanities department with 6 male students and 10 events — all 6 males each enter 1 event to fill 6 slots, and the remaining 4 events may be filled by 1 or more males entering additional events.
    3. If a class has only 1 female or male student, that person may enter multiple events without restriction based on their physical ability and specialties. Please exercise good judgment based on personal fitness.
